TL;DRThe short version

Programmatic SEO still works when each page answers one real question with real data, stays mostly unique, and earns a link from a page Google already trusts. Thin, duplicated pages get deindexed.

Programmatic SEO has a reputation problem. Most of it is thin, duplicated, and gets deindexed within a quarter. Done well, it is still one of the highest leverage growth channels for marketplaces, comparison sites, and B2B SaaS with a long tail of intent.

What programmatic SEO actually is

Programmatic SEO is the deliberate creation of pages from a structured data set, each targeting a specific long tail query. It is not AI spam. The data has to be real, the template has to be useful, and the query has to exist.

Three rules that separate signal from spam

  • 1

Every page must answer one real question with one real data point.

  • 2

Every page must be at least 60 percent unique content, not template chrome.

  • 3

Every page must have an internal link from a page Google already trusts.

The page template we use

A working template has a sharp H1 derived from the query, a one paragraph answer in the first 80 words, a primary data table, two to three explanatory sections, and three related queries linked at the bottom. That is it.

If you publish 500 pages and link them only to each other, Google sees a flat island. If you link them up to 10 hub pages that already have authority, the lift compounds. The ratio we target is one inbound link from a trusted page for every three programmatic pages shipped.
