Most agencies grow by adding layers. We did the opposite: senior people on every account, one business number per client, reporting tied to results. Small on purpose, two years old, with 8+ years of instinct behind it.
Most agencies grow by adding layers. A founder sells the work, then hands it to an account manager, who briefs a junior, who does the work, while you wait on email threads to find out what happened.
Agencies grow by adding layers
We spent 8+ years each inside agencies like that. We watched good budgets get spent on work no one was truly accountable for, and reports go out that looked busy but said nothing about the business.
We built the opposite
So when we started Kula, we built the opposite. Senior people on every account. The person who audits your account is the person who runs it. No five-person account team, no telephone game, no dashboard built to look impressive.
One number per client
There is one number per client, agreed up front and tied to the business: leads, ROAS, organic revenue, or qualified pipeline. Every month we report on it. If it is not moving, the strategy changes, not the reporting.
Small on purpose
It means we stay small on purpose, and we are fine with that. We would rather do fewer things and move the number than win awards for activity.
Kula is two years old. The instinct behind it is not. If you want marketing run by the people accountable for the result, that is the whole idea.
